We have lived here for 2 years from may 2007-May 2009. Nice place for the rent we pay. very effective maintenance staff and very nice front office. prompt response to complaints. Car port is included. After 1st year, you can shift to a month to month lease which is very useful for families on work visas. Very clean grounds. Neighbors are nice and non-interfering. Nice clean laundry on first floor. So plenty of light and clean smelling. No dingy dark laundry rooms. Hallways are kept clean and nice. Snow removal is very prompt. pediatricians, dentists, doctors, library less then 5 minutes by WALK. You drive past these everyday. So having a child's doctor that close is a blessing. On bus route 7 and close to 5. About 5 miles from U of M and very close to Mall, shopping stores,I-94, US 23 and the city rec center which has a great pool.Kid playing ground and swings on site. lots of walking and playing space around the complex. lots of very nice day cares around. we moved to another apartment after 1 year for being closer to laundry and requested a new fridge and changes to dishwasher which they readily agreed.
On the con side, space seems less at times. Bathrooms could have been a bit bigger. Kitchen could do with more storage space. In 2008 June there were few incidents of stone throwing on cars. Been resolved and ok since then. But for the horror stories you hear elsewhere, this is a very nice place to live. You pay for gas, elec, cable, internet and phone. But for stories coming from "Utilties included" sites, I dont mind paying the bill here.
