Expect this to happen: Summer noise is all around and A/C is non-existent

I'd just like to warn you beforehand. Ann Arbor will still be hot in June and July and at Ironwood Place apts, A/C in summer hotness is a pain. The system is old and inefficient. Not all vent outlets works. And it takes hours to cool your rooms (for the room temperature just dropping from 90F to 83F, you need 2 hours and that's the coolest it can go -- I once videotaped that and showed to the office staff, then they had to replace entire A/C unit for my apt) and don't expect they will replace your A/C before you start making daily call to tell them how hot your room is.
Also be prepared for many unexpected noises. Snow removal for this complex always come in between 3-5 AM when you're deepest asleep and they start to wake everybody up with huge blowing noise. When summer comes, all kinds of engineering companies will work on anything possible and amazingly they would stay from dawn to dusk every time they come. When the swimming pool finally opens it's always occupied by some screaming kids who are not even from the families living here.
If you don't think these bother you much, please remember this place costs you $1,200 for a 2B apartment if they don't raise it again this summer. I think when paying this premium price, you want to watch out for the potential problems.
