Would not recommend

I personally would not recommend these apartments to anyone.
Where should I start' I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment close to the complex entrance. I never really have a problem with parking, 99% of the time I find a spot within a good distance from my building door. There ARE, though, a few cars that are just abandoned, they havent moved once since I got here.
For the price, my 2 bedroom apartment is pretty spacious (compared to other apartments that cost more for less space). When I first moved in, I filled in the move-in checklist of things that were broken. None of these have yet to be fixed.
The heater in the main bathroom (with the shower) leaks, meaning every day I had to clean up a good sized puddle. After calling matienence EVERY DAY for about 2 months, someone finally came and "fixed" it. Its still leaking a tiny bit, and has gotten moldy.
The smaller bedrooms closet door was off the track, and broken, I could not fix it myself. Ive tried calling plenty of times, but have just given up and accept the fact that my closet door is permanetly open. It wont shut, or move, at all (taking up space and making it hard to arrange the furniture the way I would have liked).
The stove was FILTHY when I moved in, and when I first tried to use it, it started smoking A LOT, setting off my smoke alarm. I had to clean it about 5 times (like I said, it was NASTY), before I could use it without it smoking. It still stinks. Plus, since the stove door is so close to the cabinets, I had to remove the cabinet handles, or else they were in the way of the stove door and it wouldnt open completely.
The freezer does not adjust well. No matter what I change the setting to, it COMPLETELY freezes everything. I dont buy ice cream anymore, because it literally turns rock hard and takes hours to thaw. I cant get ice cubes out of my ice cube tray, because the tray is so hard from the freezer being so cold. Popsicles, frozen food, everything gets covered with ice within 2 days of putting it in.
On the other hand, the fridge is barely cold enough to keep food fresh. The fridge does NOT have any temperature adjustments, so I cant make it any colder. Milk and eggs, and almost everything else, goes bad a lot quicker. Plus, since the day I moved in.. the fridge just STINKS. Ive tried cleaning it, but cant get rid of the smell. Its absolutely horrible.
They must have repainted right before I moved in, because they had actually painted right over outlets and cable outlets, making some of them unusable.
When I first arrived, there was a broken blind laying on the floor right under the window.
The air conditioner in the bedroom constantly lets cold air in, theres always a draft. The sink in this same bedrooms bathroom, drains EXTREMELY slowly. Ive tried cleaning it, many products, and nothing helps the water drain faster.
The toilet in the bathroom with the shower, once its flushed, the water runs for about 3-4 hours, you cant flush the toilet again until it stops.
Since I moved in.. the chain lock on the door was broken and has yet to be replaced. The screws around the door handle lock (between the door and the wall), were too long and made it very hard to shut the door all the way, it took me forever to find screws that fit so the door could shut properly. The door handle for one of the bedrooms randomly fell off. The other bedrooms door doesnt even stay shut, and wont lock because it doesnt shut all the way. It randomly opens.
With all that said.. my biggest complaint has yet to come. I live in the bottom floor/basement. The people above me are ABSOLUETLY HORRIBLE. I could not have lived under worse people. They are literally up at 2, 3, 4, 5 in the morning. They are moving around 24/7, I truely believe these people LITERALLY get NO sleep. Plus they have a dog that barks constantly. Theyve made so much noise, and loud booms, its literally knocked paintings off of my wall. Its very hard to sleep, hearing them walking around at all hours of the night, its very loud.
The only thing I dont have a problem with this apartment, is parking. I would not recommend these apartments for anybody.
