I moved into a 2 bedroom at Evergreen, lured by the price (which with some more research I realized they're only about $35/month cheaper than the average). Boy did I regret it! I don't even know where to begin! My first complaint is that my apartment had cockroaches. Turns out the entire building had cockroaches. Twice they came through to exterminate the entire building and the number of cockroaches never deteriorated. Every single morning I went into the kitchen and turned on the lights only to see cockroaches racing into the corners - GROSS!!! If that was not enought, the apartment across from me caught fire! The electric wiring is so old that it sparked and caught the apartment on fire. That could have been my unit - very scary. The laundry facility was the local commune for loitering. I would constantly go down to do my laundry and walk in on teenagers smoking weed in there. One time I found a homeless bum sleeping in there. It was not safe. One night I woke up to the sound of an explosion and discovered that someone had lit a car on fire in the parking lot, about 15 feet away from the building! The car exploded! Any hour of the day you will see people loitering on the porches and throughout the complex - don't these people have jobs' (NO, they don't!) There were always police cars driving through and arresting people. The walls, cielings, and floors were very thin, I could hear my neighbors across from me fighting all the time, I could hear my neighbors across the hall at the other end of the apartment partying all hours, it was tough to have a peaceful evening at home. There is trash and broken glass EVERYWHERE, oh yeah, and even condoms littered about. My dog sliced her paw completely open and had to have it wrapped for weeks. It was one of the worst experiences of my life! DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS - THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS OUT THERE!
