My husband and I have a 50 lb. dog, so our choices for apartments in Ann Arbor are very limited. We had a horrible time finding a decent apartment, and were tremendously relieved to find Meadowbrook Village.

The staff is outstanding. They are friendly, they remember you and your dog, and they do a good job responding to any problems you may have. We've only had two minor maintenance problems with the apartment, and they were fixed within 24 hours.

They call this complex a "luxury" place, but that's a bit of a stretch. I should qualify this by saying that we moved from a state where rent prices are 50-75% lower than Ann Arbor, and you get MUCH more for that money. (Before we moved, we had a two-story townhouse, two bed, two bath, all utilities included in rent plus cable for $720 a month.)

Our carpet is very worn and needed to be replaced long before we moved in. While I rarely ever hear my neighbors, I hesitate to say that the place is well insulated because there are drafts coming from every inch of the outer walls. I'm sure our heating bills are greatly inflated because of the poor insulation around the sliding door, the bedroom window, and the floorboards. The place is small, too, in that we don't have nearly enough storage space for our things.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this complex. We've toured every pet-friendly complex in Ann Arbor and Ypsi, and this is the nicest and best priced we could find. The only complex that we would rate higher is Arbor Landings, but it is much more expensive and we can't afford to move there!
