From our experience the Meadowbrook was a really mixed experience.

Our problems included:

-Not getting the view we were told we'd get before we moved (we had a view of the parking lot) and they did not relocate us

-Hassles with the staff and a generally disrespectful and defensive attitude towards us and our problems on several occasions

-We had our heating go out in the winter and it took several visits from maintenance over several days for them to fix it correctly...talk about freezing!

-Our water heater never worked right and always went cold after a several minutes (take really quick showers!)

-From downstairs we heard *everything* the upstairs tenants did from walking to phone ringing to talking

-for the most part snow and ice were removed in a timely way but sometimes the ice removal was lacking and we slipped and fell outside our apartment several times

The good things:

-Very pet friendly, great for large dogs

-Close to the highway

-Close to good shopping

-Beautiful grounds that are well kept with a lot of space to walk including a small park nearby in addition to their well kept dog-walking area

-Interior of apartment clean, nice, and in good working order

-free cable!

-felt "retreat" like from the city even though it's so close to all modern conveniences
