Not worth the $$$...

I have only been in Meadowbrook for about 4 months and I have had more problems in that short period of time then most people experience in a lifetime.
1st lets start with my move-in... The day I moved in there was trash everywhere, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, old light fictures in the drawers, and silverware on the side of the cabinets. That wasnt the worst of it. My the electricty was wired wrong so the only way my roommate could turn on the lights or tv in her room was for the kitchen light to be on. Our ceiling fan was hanging off the walls, there were no lights in the bathrooms, and no blinds in the livingroom. We are supposed to get free cable with all rooms being cable ready; however my room had no oultets for cable, I now have cable but I went a mont without it. My showers was horrible when I moved in and there was absolutley no water pressure. After having the showerhead replaced twice my shower is worse than it was when I moved in and I get hot water for about 10 seconds which makes showering unpleasant especailly when I have company after one person takes a shower you might have to wait about 5 hours for the water to get "warm".
This was just the 1st month. In early November, out heat just stopped working. No matter how high we turned it up there was always cold air blowing out. They eventually came to fix it but thats just ridiculous. Oh I forgot to mention that my sink broke and they had to fix it three times. After the first time it brokr the water drained into the drawers underneath which ruined all my curlers and blowdryer. I finally got a new sinck after the third time.
The worst thing was when I washing machine and dryer broke twice and it would take 5 times to dry my clothes but by then they smelled bad and I would have to wash then again (which only started the saga all over again). Even our towels mildewed and when we complined to the NEW manager (because we went through about 5 sets of new office staff in a 3 month period) this heffa told me to wash my clothes and towels over with bleach. WTF kind of suggestion. She ket telling us that the same thing happened to her but luckily she had renters insurance so she bought new stuff. The she said she just rewashed the mildewed ---- and used it again. First of all I could care less about what happened to your ---- and I'm not washing some nasty mildewed ---- and wearing it again. The good thing is we recently got a brand new washer and dryer which I LOVE but that is only after maintenance begged the manager for us becuase they got tired of coming to fix it every day b/c it would flood out laundry room.
Oh lets not forget about the limited parking. Even though you get a carport thats only good for one of the people in a two bedroom if you both have cars. Sometimes your carport may be occupied wen you get home. If it is you will have to park two parking lots away which is not fun when its raining, snowing, or in the middle of the night.
When we moved in we were told they would pay water and trash removal. However for the people moving in after us they were not going to pay those things anymore. SO suddenly we started recieving water bills and they kept telling us we were supposed to pay them until we had to show them a copy of our lease saying we didnt. Then after those bulls stopped coming we started getting pass due cable bills. But they are supposed to pay cable so why were we getting bills... let a lone pass due ones'
The one thing that pissed me off the most was when maintenance came to replace our wahser and dryer. They said they would be right back to runs some tests so I just stayed in my room and said ok. Then after about 30 minuted they didnt return and I felt a little draft. These fools had left my front door wide open and they never returned that day to "run some tests".
All in all I couldnt wait to move into Meadowbrrok I was so excited it was only my 2nd apartment and I just knew I would be renewing my lease. With all the problems we are having you would think they would offer us some kind of discount to renew our lease but actually they said our rent will increase and they will not be paying for out water and trash removal...Next thing you know they are going to stop paying fo cable.
Please dont waste your time or money renting here.
