Because of the crappy and uncaring staff, I have actually decided to leave. I've lived here for three years and the first two were fine. This past year is awful. Anytime I have had problems that are not maintance, the staff is very uncaring and say they'll take care of it, but that's only to appease me. I've had a noisy neighbor who when I actually have talked to the neighbor have been told that she's never been spoken to. (A different neighbor also has had the same expereince). They say they'll talk to the neighbor, but when they check their notes, they say that they have nothing in the book and will take care of it. Yet the problem still exists and the book still has no complaint.

Further, the rent goes up unexpectingly quickly. We were asked to pay $100 more than we are paying now for an already over priced apartment. We're paying more than what is listed on the mckinnly webpage for our apartment--they really don't care. When we talked to the staff about it, they told us that ideally, they'd like to have everyone overpay. This is the way the business is, they told us. When we said then we would have to start looking elsewhere, they told to that's fine.

They supposidly have a fax machine for residents. When i had an application due, their fax machine was convenantly broken. The girl working in the office helped me for a minute and then heard a new client come in said there's nothing she could do and I had to leave so she could take care of the client.

As others have mentioned, they have NO REGARD for loyalty and would rather rent to a new person. When our lease was up this year, we wanted to have a shorter lease than 12 months. We were told they would only would do a 12 month lease and to do a month to month would cost us an extra $100 on our already exorbinent rent. Their reasoning was that although they give people shorter leases, the 12 month was all they had left, never mind that we had lived there so long. However, in years pass, when we wanted to do a 12 month (if not longer), they sometimes gave us 12 months and other times gave us 11. Again, with the 11 month lease, they said they didn't have anymore 12 month leases. Additionally, when we signed one of those 12 month leases, we actually wanted to move out 1 year to the Sunday (when their leases usually end). We were told that we couldn't have that move out date because it was full. The only good news in all this is that the staff does change about every 6 months-1 year (although they tend to promote the people so then they'll stick around for another 6 months-1 year), but if you're lucky, you won't have to deal with anyone for too long.

If you have a choice to live anywhere---don't live here.

p.s. what they also don't tell you is that football Saturdays living on Ann Arbor Saline Rd sucks! They close it off two hours before and after the game basically, so you can't leave the complex during those times. Additionally, it's very difficult to return to the compelx.
