Rent has increased 15%/yr since we have been here. The staff is nice but woefully inadequate. It is an old apartment that they are sticking window dressing on and selling it as luxury. Problems are typically addressed quickly but they are not solved. If you move hear and you have a problem, you will need to complain loudly and frequently to get it corrected. Get it in writing if they tell you something because they do not honor oral agreements.

Be careful of the free wifi. It is extremely slow and only works in some apartments. Good chance you will need to get your own connection if you want reliable internet access (esp. at peak times).

Also, look out for their demo apartment(s). They will show you an "open" unit that is just like the one you will get. Many of the apartments still have old cabinets/appliances. Also, make sure you see the one you will be staying in so you can judge the traffic noise.

Finally, on Michigan home game days, getting into and out of your apartment can be very difficult.

Parking-Fine
Noise-Louder than average
Grounds-Good
Safety-we had some concerns about a someone hanging out outside the gym. Management said they were not responsible for security. We called the police and they spoke to the guy-haven't seen him since. The neighborhood seems to be safe but Meadowbrook doesn't seem to care-Poor rating for Meadowbrook, but Good for the area
Construction-Poor-the floor is at a noticable incline, chipped tiles, painted over outlets, where items have been replaced-if they weren't the same size putty has been used to fill the gaps.
Staff-Friendly but inadequate
Overall-We are moving-stayed here only because we didn't want to have to move intown before we move out of state.

Also-the person who said the A/C is bad is correct. It doesn't seem to cool but it is on all the time.

Ummm....I think we have a complainer on our hands. We loved it. Is Michael and Hal still working there?? If so, not sure how anyone can seriously think there is a service problem. Unless, of course, we just have a complainer on our hands. My advice-like anything-just check it out yourself. And...you chose to live 2 miles aways from the Michigan Stadium right by the highway...and it is Meadowbrooks fault there is traffic on game day? Come on.

I agree with the "check it out for yourself" post from above but I have to agree with the post they were replying to. I had similar problems, which is why I moved.
