Ok somtimes, Horrible others

This was my first apartment after leaving my parents house. They totally scam you. They'll tell you one thing, then forget. I was supposed to get free basic cable and every time I went into the office they said they'd take care of it. Well I'm moving out next week because my year lease is up and I have NEVER had cable in this apartment. Also, when I would go in to talk to them about it, they'd basically say they're busy, and shoo me away. If you're a young adult/college student, good luck to you. They won't side with you. I live on the second floor with my roommate, and we have a thirty something couple living below us. My roommate tripped, the door slammed, and we got a call the next day saying our neighbors complained and if we get one more complaint we're getting evicted "at our own expense", even though their dogs bark into all hours of the night, and when we complained about that, Meadowbrook told us "thats apartment living". Our neighbors (who smoke) also said we throw cigarette butts onto the lawn in front of their patio, from our balcony. Please explain to me then why I picked up a zip lock bag over half full of Kentucky Smooth cigarette butts (Guess where our neighbors are from), 2 Swisher butts, and 1 cigar butt from in front of both of our doors.
Our garbage disposal is corroded and every time we run the dishwasher our sink fills up with nasty water and whatever we've tried to put down the disposal in the last week. The faucet also leaks.
The maintenance guys are very nice and helpful, but don't always fix everything, and I feel bad for them that they're employed by this complex. They always make sure to cover their shoes when entering your apartment, and clean up after themselves. However, I have a cat, and the complex knows this. On more than one occasion they've left our front door open during their work. I found my (indoor) cat outside once. Also when they were doing the renovations to the sliding glass doors and windows, we got a note one evening saying sometime within the next 3 days (possibly beginning at 8am the next morning) men would be coming in and out of our apartment to install the new doors and windows, and to make any necessary arrangements for pets. When my roommate called to get a better time estimate, they couldn't help us. The workers also broke several things on our balcony during the work.
