It's not THAT bad!

After reading the reviews posted here, I have to disagree with SOME of the points made. First, it is an enormous rip-off... $1,000 a month for such cheap apartments. But what do you expect' It is very close to north campus (about 1/3 of a mile) and next to shopping, restaurants..etc. It has a decent dishwasher, full size washer/dryer, new carpet, lighted carport, and swimming pool. Yeah, the place is short-staffed. We had two small maintenance issues, and both were taken care of promptly. Our apartment had two soft spots in the floor, but other than that, there weren't any other issues.
These are NOT luxury apartments. But they are most certaily livable. Like any complex, there are good buildings and bad buildings. My advice is to CAREFULLY select the apartment/building closely before signing a lease. My building is near the office, and I found it to be quiet and reasonably insulated.
After looking at the Highlands, Broadview..etc and other apartments in the area, Parc Pointe seems better in comparison. Of course it is not as nice as Windemere, or Green Briar, but it is much much closer to campus. If you can't afford luxury, and willing to put up with minor defects, then check out Parc Pointe.
