I would say run away. Evidently the people who are not having issues are living in the newr apartments. I live in a building that has had many issues ever since I moved in. When we first moved in our apartment had a smoke smell to it. I will say maintanence did a good job of changing our filters in our furnace and that did help, but it was just the begining. Then our bathroom developed a leak in the ceiling. We cald and after a week of it dripping the walked in and said it was shower condensation and walked out. No real effort on there part. Well we kep tcalling and asking for a more thourough inspection and kept getting the run around. Finally they cam in after a few weeks (3-4) and decided to look at the roof. To their amazment the roof was leaking. So they took a couple weeks to fix that. Just recently our security door ws malfuncitoning. It started on a weekened and we called the emergency line. Well the security door is not an emergency. My safety and security is not a priority for them. So after calling multiple times the sent a person out and he removed the door lock, so now the security door didn't latch, because there was no latch. After having no latch for 3 days I called the manaagment and they had no clue that there was anything wrong with our door. Well finally after 2 weeks they replaced the latch, but now the door wouldn't shut properly so it just sat there proped open. Again we are still waiting to get this fixed.
So in my opinion the apartments look nice and the people may seem nice, but remember they are sales people. They are not equipped to handle any type of problems. Just to keep people informed I have always been kind and curdious when calling the staff.
One final thing to put the nail in the coffin. This year I have spent more on heating bills than I did in the previous 2 years at another apartmetn in a diffrent city. I even placed plastic over my windows to help reduce the air leakage. Basically the windows are out of date, and yes I know gas prices have gone up, but that wouldn't explain how I heated an apartment 2 years ago for $40 a month and now I hover in the $80-$100 range, even had a $130 month.
All I say is pay the little extra to go some where else.
