I live at the apartment presently and I must say the staff in the office are a bunch of rude bitchy twats.

Anyway does anyone have their headquarters number' I need to file complaints

I lived there for one year and we cold never get headquarters number. I recomend that you send the complaint to them in writing and tell them that it must be resolved or you will be withholding rent until the issue(s) have been resolved. This should bring some action, but most likely a call from their lawyer. If you are a student of U of M talk to the law department. They will represent you for little to no money. Otherwise good luck.

You must submit your complaint in writing to Hartman/Tyner. If you with hold your rent you must place the rent in an escrow account, basically you pay your rent to this account instead of Hartman/Tyner. You must have proof of the account and must pay rent to account on time as if you were paying rent to Pheasant Run. You should also have a detailed record of phone calls, discussions with staff and a clear break down of your problems. If problems are maintenance related you can call the city of Ann Arbor building department and request an inspection but it has to be a real and serious problem. I had to do this with my last landlord and my lawyer and still friend today told me that this is the way you must handle problems with landlords. If you just withhold rent with out putting into an escrow account or pay your rent late to your escrow account it will only make you look bad and irresponsible and Hartman/Tyner will use this against you to say that you are not a good rent payer. Basically you have to make sure that you look like and are the best tenant ever and that they are doing nothing to make you situation better.

Hartman and Tyner Incorporated - (248) 352-2010 - 24700 W 12 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI I believe there may still be an Ann Arbor Tenants Union; check the phone book or contact the city. Good luck. By the way, if you are having issues with the power going on and off this is actually NOT caused by Pheasant Run. Its DTE and the commercial park adjacent is having the same problems. Hope this helps---best advice to you is get the heck out of there! When I lived there I witnessed a motorycycle being stolen; my sister had the battery stolen out of her car which was in the carport. There are men from the Michigan SEX OFFENDERS website living there. Check with the police on the number of break ins, assaults, burgleries just within the complex. GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
