I lived at Pheasant Run for one year. I found it very affordable, pet-friendly, with a good location and spacious floorplan. The grounds and pools were nice, and I had nice tile in the kitchen, dining room, and bathroom. The office staff members were pleasant whenever I stopped in, and maintenance was good - they always fixed my problems within a few days. I am a single young woman and I felt safe here, and never witnessed any instances of violence or theft.
Unfortunately my apartment had a musty odor I could NOT get rid of no matter how hard I tried. There were also many bugs (ants, spiders, and centipedes primarily) and I could hear every step my upstairs neighbor took. When the complex wanted to increase my rent by $100 per month at the time of lease renewal, I decided to leave.

Yeah, I can't wait to get out of my lease either. It's cheap all right. I HAD nice tile in the bathroom too, until it started breaking apart square by square. Can't wait to see the toilet drop through the floor with all the attention maintenance is giving to it. (That would be none) Maintenance sucks if you call it in to the office. You could wait up to 3 weeks to see someone. One of the maintenance guys lives in my building, and HE complains about the materials they use.
I suppose I would feel safe seeing the police parked in front of my building as often as they are, but of course I have to wonder WHY they're there so often.
And let me get this right, you gave this place a POSITIVE rating, even though you had a smell in your apartment that wouldn't go away, AND they tried to raise your rent by $100?

I suggest you write your own review rather than argue with mine. My experience is just that; mine. I'm sorry that yours has not been good.
My tile never had any problems; nor did my toilet. As I said, I never had to wait more than a few days (let alone 3 weeks) for maintenance, and I always called into the office. Perhaps if you had a better attitude the staff would be more helpful. As I said, I never witnessed violence or theft. I'm not sure which building you live in but I only saw the police a handful of times - to be expected when so many people live in a small area.
Yes, despite some problems I still gave the complex a positive rating. Good luck finding something perfect for $600 a month!
