This is by far, the worst experience I have had in an apartment. In general, the apartment itself, appliances, location, construction, etc. are fine, typical apartment. Maintenance is good, I really had no problems, and the maintenance staff is extremely friendly.

It's the management.

I have been a tennant for 4 years here. You would think that after 4 years of consecutive on time payments, no complaints that the management would be bending over backwards to keep me, right'

Wrong.

I had had enough, so I bought a place and moved prior to the end of my lease. I inquired about breaking the lease, which they told me I could not do. So I was told I could sublet. I just HAD to have the person fill out an application, pay $25 for a credit and background check and then they could move in after I picked someone and we all filled out paperwork they supplied.

I had two people pay the $25, and I selected one. I got an email from the property manager less than a week before the signing saying that they no longer provide paperwork for sublets. I contacted a lawyer to get advice on what to do, and took care of the situation.

A month later, the sublet calls me to tell me they have a note on the door saying they have to purchase renter's insruance. This was not in the lease agreement I signed, though the letter specifically stated all tennants had to purchase it. I contacted the property manager stating I needed to know where in the contract it was stated that they could do this so I could point that out to my attorney. Needless to say, no renter's insurance was purchased.

The most recent I was charged a late fee when rent was paid on time, and I was charged a fee for someone's credit report, even though I never authorized it. I'm currently talking to my attorney on what action I need to take.

This is just the most recent of the bad management. Some of the staff are incredibly nice, but the policies of this place are just downright criminal. Avoid this place like the plague. I wouldn't even send my worst enemy here.
