When we moved into Spicetree our intentions were to have a place that was farther from the student area and less expensive. In reality we got a place that was amazingly priced, didn gouge us for deposits or utilities and had great service. The maintance crew was amazing and always there within an hour, the rental staff was able to assist us in anyway we needed, the parking was great (we could have guests) and the asmospohere was like a neighborhood. Some of my favorite features was it was close to a great area with shopping and it was right on a bus line that ran all the time and went straight into Ypsi and Ann Arbor. We heard things about it not being safe but we had no trouble and anytime we were concerned the rental staff explained to us the details of situations other people have mentioned. Overall, I would say it is a great apartment complex and the area is building up really nice so it is a great place to live. If it wasn't for having to move, I would still live there.
