Nice apartment, but non-caring, rude and awkward leasing staff a turn-off

Pros:

1. moved in on a special, got a decent rate. six sixty-five for a 1 bedroom. I would *NOT* pay anymore than that.

2. maintenance guys are quick to repair things and to respond.

3. the layout of the apartment is nice. for their units, the apartments span the entire building so you have windows on two opposite walls which is nice.

4. only 1-2 bedrooms in this complex so not too many childen and families living here, mostly students and such. it was quiet. [although if a neighbor wants to be obnoxious one day, I have heard thumping bass and music from my downstairs and next door neighbors before. so the walls aren't impenetrable. but it didn't happen that much thankfully.]

Cons:
1. Cell phone reception was horrible and that was with me living on the second/top floor and standing next to the window.

2. The complex is right by 94 so with windows and balcony door open, it's very loud.

3. Laundry facilities consists of two washers and two dryers attached to the end of 3-4 apartment buildings. Therefore, two washers/dryers, they think are enough to cater to residents living in 15 apartments. Be sure to look at it on their property map and you'll see what I am talking about. (I went to Mr. Stadium for the 10 months I lived there.)

4. The leasing staff is only nice to you when you go in there and there are other potential residents in there as well. They do not go out of their way for residents as much as they want you to believe (I have several good examples of this but is too long for this review). I definitely won't miss the office staff that were rude: Debbie, the manager, and Kelly, I have no idea what she does except be bitchy on the phone. Patty was the only nice one.

5. Parking is hard to find after 5-6pm. Everyone is back from work and the lots are full, even the streets.

===========
All in all, I have lived in 4 different apartment complexes in ann arbor over the last 5.5 years. No apartment is perfect. And you can only find out so much about one and weed out so many before you have to take the plunge and actually live in it. I hope I have helped.

There is absolutely no reason to have to go to Mr. Stadium during your time there. I lived in Spruce Knob for two years and never had an issue. As for the staff, they were top notch, including Debbie! Perhaps you should have made five minutes to stop by for cookies and lemonade and *TALK* to them. If all you did was complain about stuff, what would you expect? I agree that Patty is nice, no matter what!

I think the laundry situation is ok. Never had trouble there. I will say however that Debbie is obnoxious. She seems nice, but it's a total fake. Scott and the rest of the maintinence staff are very nice, and work hard for you. I have also never had bad cell phone service and I live on the first floor. I'm with Sprint and it seems to work just fine. I am starting my second year at Spruce, and for the most part give it a thumbs up.

Looks like the first response is Debbie again!!! Hi, Debbie! If you had spent as much time managing the place properly and learning customer service skills as you do browsing these sites and trying to make yourself look decent,you may not be getting so many complaints....Think about that...

I agree with your review - Debbie was a total fake and the laundry facilities are not adequate - Noise was a really big problem for me, dogs next door that barked non-stop all day and night for no reason and then barked louder and more viciously when kids were playing in the courtyard.

T-Mobile reception is okay here.
