I have lived at the Highlands close to 3 years. Because I moved from out-of-state, I used online ratings to find The Highlands and was skeptical, but they have greatly exceeded my expectations. I have loved living here! The staff is wonderful-- very friendly, helpful, understanding. They work overtime to make sure the sidewalks and parking lot are clear of snow-- they even helped during a Saturday night when I ran out of gas for my car!!! They treat residents with a lot of respect and care, which I appreciate.
Also, the location is fanatastic because it is very close to the University buses (which come every 5 minutes and takes 10 minutes to get to campus) and the Ride (which goes right to downtown). Other bus stops are close (including to the mall and Arborland shopping.) Also, Kroger is one mile away.
The apartments are very well maintained and have good windows for sunlight. The staff immediately respond to service requests-- and I haven't had an major issues (just very minor). The noise level is relatively quiet, but especially quiet at night. The ceilings are tall which makes the apartment feel quite open and are well taken care of (clean, tidy).
I have no compliants and am really glad to have chosen to live here. I will miss the staff and the apartments!
