I have been a resident for two years at this community and have absolutely enjoyed myself! The rent is fairly cheap with heat included and talk about space! The floor plans are very spacious and offer a lot of extra storage. Although I must agree with the previous review in one aspect; the maintenance was horrific but the complaints did not fall on "deaf ears", they hired a new maintenace person after receiving several complaints and hit the jack pot with the new maintenance personel! He is very gracious and a hardworker and has made quite a few improvements in the short time he has been in our community. The resident manager is ALWAYS pleasant and ready to help out anytime I have ever had a question or concern. I recommend this community to all who ask me where I live!

This review was obviously written by a staff member of Town and Country. I wrote the "avoid at all costs" review... 6 months prior to this review. I have kept in touch with other friends who were on their way out after I myself moved out, and trust me... everything has not been "peachy-keen" since the time I have left. Yes, they did get rid of a dishonest maintenance man---but only after receiving complaints for over six months. That's half a year! Imagine being stuck with issues like that for that long. If you have a maintenance man suspected of not doing his work, burglarizing apartments, etc. you do not wait more than 6 months to address the issue. Yes the resident manager is ALWAYS pleasant. But this was the same resident manager that would be hanging out with the problem maintenance man and allowing him to stay in the office as you discussed personal information. You don't have to take my word for 1/2 the things I shared... the place is a slum--- you can check the crime stats online, with the sheriff/police department, or even in the Ann Arbor Observer-- they'll show you a map of the crimes in the area that run rampant (e.g. theft, car burglary, rape, etc.) --Also don't forget to do your sex offender search --also offered free to the public... that area is full of sex offenders- I didn't think to search this data base prior to moving there... shame on me. I truly hope that many of the issues have been resolved. But as I shared in the last review, it's the neighborhood and it's tenants that are a huge problem too. Several tenants that lived there for multiple years all moved, or started making plans to move all around the time I did... that shouldn't be taken too lightly. Could you imagine living somewhere for 2, 3, 5, 10, 15 years and feeling that it is finally time to go because problems have reached an ultimate high---and than a staff member has the audacity 6 months later to write THIS???? Consumer BEWARE!!!!!!
