Traver Knoll is really a great place to live. It is relatively cheap for Ann Arbor, the apartments are huge, and the area is mostly students and new families. It is awesome if you are looking for something quiet and cheap. No, the pool isn't the greatest, and there is no work out room...the maintenance team will get to quick requests within a day, but if you want your intercom to work, forget it. :) There is new management that was there when we moved in a year ago, and they have all been very helpful. Requests aren't always answered imediately, but they always call back and try pretty hard to keep this place nice. The area is right next to north campus. there are plenty of places to take a walk (neighborhood and the science center). We have never felt threatened coming home at night with our new baby. Our neighbors all seem friendly and helpful. many of the residents i think have been here forever. Also, the heat is free and it works! you will not have a problem being warm in the winter/ cool in the summer. Most of the time our windows were open in the winter when the thermastat was OFF!! it;s great. DTE bill for electric was never over 40 bucks and we had 1150 ft2...in the summer it was like $20. We had a nice experience and wouldn't leave if our careers weren't taking us away. We'll definitely miss it! thanks for giving us our first home as a new family :)

This tenant is fortunate in his/her dealings with management. In my encounters, they have not been timely. At times, they weren't even friendly--they were RUDE!!! And while I never felt threatened, some areas in the complex do not have lighting outside of the buildings--makes it hard for your guests to find your place. Not to mention, shouldn't they fix the lights?!

this review was placed by management, none of the apartment's appear as in the photo above. parking is poor, grounds staff don't speak english. rudeness & lies are what you get from the office.
