Well, it is convenient. And it's nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit and to have all the electricity, phone and internet included. But it's very old, very expensive for the area and it's very noisy (lots of kids and thin walls). They do have programs like ESL, child care and kid-friendly activities, but you pay for them with high rent whether you use them or not. So if you don't have kids it's probably not worth it. There are also little things, probably due to the age of the buildings, that are not so nice. Like pant splatters on the stairs and windows, squeaky warn floors, crayon/maker scribbles on the doors, chipping (lead based) paint, and too few outlets.

On the other hand, it is safe and we haven't had problems with repairs or pests.
