I know I lived there 4 yrs ago, but I just discovered this site and HAD to comment. I still pass by the place occasionally, as I am in grad school (and thankfully now living in a much better apartment). Rent was $950/month.
I lived on the 10th floor in a 2 bedroom apartment, and would have left after the first year if my parents did not request I continue living there.
1) The heat: It was hot in the summer and hotter in the winter! The air conditioner NEVER worked. The heat rose up in the winter to chokingly high levels. I would have to open my window till the room became freezing cold (within 15 minutes) and then shut the window till it became really hot again, when I would open the window.
2) The noise: My apartment was facing scorekeepers bar which is across the street. The first night, I heard people talking outside my window... on the 10th floor. I thought I was going crazy, it sounded like they were RIGHT outside. It was later that night that I realized the sound from South U funneled up into my window. This was the WORST on weekend nights when drunken crowds hung around South U.
3) The bathroom: 2 years into living there, we noticed that everytime the upstairs people flushed their toilet, our light fixture in the bathroom would fill with (possible gross) water. Strange. The shower walls had black mold growing on it.
4) The furniture: Must be 25 years old, is so cheap. I felt gross just sitting on those chairs. They collect hair like no other.
5) The smell: The hallways always smelled gross for some reason. You could also notice it in the bathroom and in the entryway.
6) The living room: Extremely tiny, basically only fits the one 3 person couch they provide, there's no real room for a dining table or anything.
7) Our view totally sucked- it faced the apartments on the other side of the floor. The building is U shaped. If you crane your head, you could see some sky or the street.
8) The ceiling: made of that stryrofoam panelling - occasionally, when the window was open, the panels would shift.
9) The refrigerator: Why would my milk spoil constantly while my water would be frozen solid' Is that even physically possible'
10) The freezer: The ice caked onto the inside of the freezer took up so much of the space. I couldn't even scrape it off.
11) NO parking: it's hard to even move in because there's no where to park your car to drag your stuff inside.
12) Weirdo neighbors: One day, they were going up and down the hallway as fast as they could in a shopping cart. Oooookay.
To be fair, the good things about the apartment:
1) Proximity: VERY close to campus. It's a 3 min walk to west lecture hall or dennison. Maybe 5 mins to the chem building. It takes longer to get to Angell Hall.
2) Restaurants nearby: chinese, starbucks, jimmy johns, brown jug
3) Convenience store across the street (village corner)

^ posted the same day as a utowers employee one review previous. hmm
you are a childish person with nothing better to do than make fun of posters who say anything bad, and post anonymously.
be productive, and fix up your ---- hole instead of berating UNhappy customers. maybe then they would be happy.
I'm sure his/her parents like her, but I highly doubt YOUR parents would even live in your crappy apartments.
