1. Overpriced
2. Good location
3. Great Maintanence staff, however maintenance is not always done fast
4. Overpriced parking available
5. Windows are ancient and need replacement
6. Cold air leaks in through the windows (horrible during the cold winter especially since you have NO control of how high you want your heat to be. It's set to be around 70 degrees throughout the building, but it feels like 40 degrees with all the cold air coming in through the window and air conditioner).
7. Elevators are always closing on you while you're trying to get in
8. Unsafe, I heard of several thefts throughout the building, however there are cameras in the lobby
9. Very noisy due to parties
10. Walls are VERY thin and you can always hear the tv from your neighbors
11. Horrible lobby staff (very rude)
12. Washing machines are always out of order, but the dryers are great
13. Furniture isn't too great unless you pay extra for the new furniture
14. I feel like U Towers shows "Good" apartments to people apartment browsing. I suggest you look at the EXACT apartment you want to lease. Apartments are NOT the same due to my experience
15. Showers are too small
16. Exercise room is not very new
17. Pool is not really used by anyone

Overall, I was disappointed about moving here this year and I am planning on moving out when my lease is done. It is too cold for me during the winters and I do not want to use a small space heater that they lend us and run up my electricity bill every winter, especially with the overpriced rent I am paying here already.

Please go to our website at www.universitytowers-mi.com to read some very happy residents who didn't get charged damages because they didn't damage their apartment. We try very hard to make all of our residents happy, but were only human and we can't make everyone happy. You only get to read the unhappy people because that's the way the world works.
