I think by this point it's become redundant to repeat many of the same negative things that others have mentioned, but I have to put in my 2 cents. The following is a summary of some of the things I can recall during my years at VG (it has been some time since leaving and had I written this earlier, there would likely be more):

1. Horrible management: It starts at the top and trickels down. Only care about getting your money and have a "pass the buck" type culture.

2. Horrible maintainance: Hoodlums! It was a nightmare trying to get something fixed properly! Non responsive, don't come out when scheduled, etc. One of the guys used to drive around in his little crap truck and rev his engine for some unknown reason.

3. Security gate' What is the point of a security gate if it is NEVER working' Even the FEW times it was down, I was able to drive completely around it (on the exit side)with a small car.

4. Horrible customer service: They act like you're doing something wrong or "putting them out" if you have any sort of problem or maintainance request.

5. Poor cunstruction: Thin walls, thin flooring, very cheap, etc. Sounded as if the person upstairs was stomping everyday and very cold in winter (poor insulation).

6. Lies: They seem to be routine here. Like when they said that our apartment had new carpet prior to move-in.

7. Bugs: Earwigs galore!

8. Move in: Dirty apartment, filthy black tub, disposal didn't work, etc.

9. Move out: Tried to charge us for a stain on the carpet that was created as a result of a pipe break under the kitchen sink that floded most of the apartment AND a broken fridge handle that fell off and was supposed to be fixed BEFORE we moved out.

Plus, too many other problems to recount.

Based on the reviews below, it seems that things haven't changed since we left, but thank God someone decided NOT to take a chance on this place as a result of these reviews!
