I've lived at Village Green of Ann Arbor now for the past 3 years, and I cannot wait to move out. I currently live in a studio apartment which they are trying to charge me $920.00 a month for. I initally moved here b/c of the great rental deal and I've known others that have lived here and liked it. Now, I think things have gone from upscale to downhill. My apartment is not quiet at all. US 23 is outside my window and always extremely noisy with traffic and occassional construction. If you want any sleep at all during the weekdays, forget it. They are constantly mowing and cutting down trees or blowing the leaves. Today I was awoken to the sound of a woodchipper right outside my window, but it felt more like it was inside my apartment. Today was a 70 degree day and gorgeous and all I wanted to do was sleep in and enjoy the cool morning. Instead I had to get up at 8 AM to shut all my windows, and still the noise was prevalent. A few of the office staff is extremely nice, particularly Aarron. However, I think the other staff members could use more training in politeness. Beware that they will lure you with a great rental rate, but will hike up the rent almost 100/month each year.
