pros and cons

When I moved here, I was moving from out of town and this was really one of the first apartments I looked at. I took it basically just to have an apartment. I really wish that I would've looked around before deciding on this place.

Pros: nice area, nice neighborhood. The neighborhood is quiet and seems to be pretty safe. As a full time graduate student this really drew me to this place. It's in a wooded area so the scenery is nice, however, if you don't like insects in your apartments then this is not the place for you.The pool is nice, heat and air are included which is a plus. The maintenance men are really nice and respond to your complaints as soon as possible. Washer and dryer in the apartments is a plus (but you pay the water bill)

Cons: First off make sure you ask to see the apartment that you will be moving into before you move in. When I moved in things were broken, and uncleaned, I really don't think that anyone actually inspected this place after the previous tenant moved out.
the gym sucks. The equipment is usually broken, and it is usually broken for long periods of time. Right now the treadmill has been out for over a month.
the carpeting in the apartments is terrible! no exaggeration! It is impossible to vacuum because the carpeting gets sucked up and clogs up the vacuum. And I have used 2 new vacuums so I know that it's not the vacuum.
The people that come once a week to do lawn care are extremely creepy and will stare at you, not to mention they will start cutting the grass as early as 8 am!
the apartments are VERY small for what you are paying for
as with most other apartments you can hear everything that goes on above you, I would not recommend getting a bottom floor apartment!
The plumbing is SOOOOOOO loud. It sounds like an elephant is going to come through the wall when the person above you turns on the shower....this is a big enough reason for me to leave this place when my lease is up!!

So overall I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends or family. I'm really excited to move out of here!

I felt the exact same way. I moved in from out of town (out of state) and it was the first place I really looked at. I was on the ground floor in a handicap apartment that wasn't being rented at the time. It looked at woods and on the other side was 23. All of this can be added to my complaints in my review entitled "Eh..it's ok". I second the carpeting. I could have built several rugs with what came out of my vacuum. I would consider buying a bagless.

After moxing in VPA, I ran into the uncleaned, bug infested problem too. This review sums up the place quite well!
