I've never written a review for an apartment, but enjoyed my stay in this one enough to write in. I'm surprised at the negative reviews posted earlier, but I can understand that much of the experience in living in an apt community is very individual.

I lived in a first-floor apartment Nov 2007 - Nov 2008, and had no problems during my stay there. The apartment is well kept, clean carpeting, everything in working order, so I never had to call maintenance in. There were a couple of spiders especially over the summer, but that is to be expected for ground-floor. Didn't have any problems with floods during my year there, and my apt remained nice and cool in the summer, so hardly used the A/C.

The pluses: in-unit washer and dryer (hard to find in any apt complex in AA at that price range - I LOVED the convenience of this! No need to keep huge stash of quarters!), heat included, helpful management (Lauren is great!), quiet and well-kept grounds, swimming pool and recently/reno'd gym, and plenty of storage space. The minuses: could hear neighbors upstairs, and car ports sometimes all booked up depending on when you start your lease (but suck it up: his is the Midwest here - get used to scraping snow off your car!)

I liked this placed enough to recommend a friend to stay here - she loves it there too now. I have another 2 colleagues living there who love it there. I would recommend you get a 2nd or 3rd floor apt if you are afraid of the risks of flooding and mold - the floors are only 1/2 a flight of stairs between each other. Obviously there will be isolated negative experiences in any 1 apt complex, but I was very satisfied with my experience, and would have continued staying if I didn't have to relocate for work.
