Besides being completely unethical, the customer service at this place is TERRIBLE!

I left work in the middle of the day for an appointment to view a two bedroom. Upon arriving to Windemere, the representative I was scheduled to see was nowhere to be found, so we worked with another representative. This visit lasted about an hour and a half! The rep started making popcorn for herself and was arguing with another rep whether or not to put cheese on it! She then went on to giggle to us that she was using so many different highlighters and colors! This was after she FINALLY found the property map to show us. When we finally got to go see the apartments (after waiting forever for the rep to find the keys!), one apartment was full of spiderwebs, and the other had no water pressure. The rep commented "oh, I have never seen this layout before!" which didn't make me feel extremely confident renting from her. When we asked to see a third apartment, so she left us for 20 freaking minutes to go find the keys. When we saw this new apartment, it hadn't been cleaned at all. There was garbage from previous reseidents on the floor! Gross!

The worse part of the experience is that we had a deadline to move and they did nothing to accommodate this. The rep was not in when we turned in our application and did not even review it in a timely fashion. After about 4 phone calls, we finally got her to find the application and process it. (I was told everytime that I called that they were doing previous rental history checks but apparently the application was completely misplaced and not processed.)

They then proceeded to run complete background checks on us! We didn't sign anything authorizing this! We authorized a credit check only! As far as I know, this is a violation of our rights!

Bottom line: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, UNETHICAL MANAGEMENT!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!

I think I met this lady too because something similar happened to me during the same time frame, she's since been fired. I never had a background check run on me as far as I know.

jus so ya know, the application that you signed gave permission for BOTH backround and credit. Get the stick out of you A**!!!!
