So I've lived several different places in the area- a few on UM campus, SpiceTree, and now Windemere. I would def. say this is the nicest place I've ever lived in AA. We have the biggest two bedroom (1100sq feet) on the second floor, so it has vaulted ceilings which make it feel even bigger. I share the apt with a girl I don't know all that well, and it's no problem since 1) bedrooms are at opposite ends of the apt, 2)Each bedroom has its own bathroom, 3) there is MORE than enough storage space. The location is bit out there (about a 12 min drive to downtown AA) but the neighborhood is very nice and quiet. They are also extremely pet friendly (although a steep pet rent: $35/month). I never have trouble finding parking and the pool and workout center suffice for those times when you want to use them. The neighborhood is mostly Young Adults and Young Families. There are people who you can tell have made this their permanent home (planting flowers, etc). Also, they do allow you to paint your walls so you can add your own personal flair. Maintenance is SUPER fast and very nice. Also, since I have lived there I have noticed a lot of grounds maintenance going on so they are constantly making improvements (so far as to rip out and repour sidewalks and porch cement). Having your own washer and dryer in the unit is a plus, and water is a set fee at $20/month. I also NEVER felt unsafe here.

Additionally, the mgmt team is top notch. We needed to break our lease a month 1/2 early due to roommate issues and they let us out without penalty. My suggestion: HURRY and get an apt here...many people make this their permanent home and not many apts go up for rent.
