I am currently living at Windemere and have for over a year and a half now. I have absolutely no big complaints about it other than I wish the rent was a little lower, but you get what you pay for and it is definitely one of the nicer apartment complexes in Ann Arbor. I have had several little things happen that I needed fixed, and the maintence staff always responds immediately (same day or the next day). The leasing office staff are so nice, knows my daughter and I by name, and are always cooing over her, giving her balloons, and whatnot. The apartments are very spacious and I love the in-unit washer and dryers which was one of the huge reasons why we rented here (there are just a handful of nice & affordable places in Ann Arbor that have this feature). The grounds are always kept really nice, and they are constantly working on new projects to improve the complex. Yes, this results in having construction going on a lot, but since it moves from building to building you are hardly ever effected by it except for once or twice a year. Plus, I would much prefer this over a complex that does little to maintain their grounds, and a lot of newer complexes look much older than these do because of it. They have won many state-wide awards for the community and appearance of the grounds. The pool is gorgeous, the hot tub is nice, its nice that it has a work-out room although it could stand to be a little bigger. My daughter loves having a playground within a 1-minute walk, and ponds and geese to look at. We all get a covered parking spot which is really nice because I've only had to scrap snow off my car once this whole winter. It is a very quiet area away from the campus, but has easy access to it with 3 bus stops right outside the complex going right to the hospital and various campus locations. My husband rides the bus every day and it is so convenient. We live on the bottom apartment and do sometimes hear our neighbors upstairs walking around, but never any voices or the TV or anything like that. All in all, we definitely think our money has been well spent here! We will be needing to move this summer to go to a different school, but if we didn't we would be staying here for as long as we still wanted to rent!
