I am a current resident and have had several apartment issues since my residency here since last 4 years.
Recently, they did some maintenance work in the apartment next to us and the maintanance personnel spilled some kind oil (I believe furnace oil or so) all in front of our apartment and continued spilling it all over the walkway AND to the parking lot and left it as is. Never came back and Never cleaned it. I called apartment office a day later and as of today after 12 days, the oil is still there! I kept calling every other day and even threathened to inform City officials but still no change. The 'hazardous' smelly oil is still in front of our apartment and I am now writing to City about it. See the pictures attached!
This is not the first time they ignored or took 'forever' to fix. This has happened in the past too and I have all the proof! At one point I even considered a legal action.
I would never ever recommend anybody to rent at "BLOOMFIELD VILLAS"!! Please use my experience and make your decision!! Good luck.

Funny that this "hazardous" substance was actually cooking oil that the tenant who moved out admitted to spilling out of their fryer. The sidewalk has since been powerwashed twice and looks just fine. The cooking oil that was spilled did not pose and has never posed any type of hazard.

The complaint was about apartment's 'Poor' quality of service and not about the oil.
It took "forever" (6 weeks) to clean it despite repeated calls and faxes.
Instead of apologizing for "poor" service and addressing that, you come over this forum and justify the "quality of the oil" that smelled terrible for weeks and made the walkway "slippery"!!??
Shame on you and your management!

First of all--what kind of fryer holds that much oil? Are the tenants running a freaking McDonalds in their apartment? Likely that they're not, so I'm sure the oil wasn't left by the tenants. And also keep this in mind--Ms. Management-YOUR TENANT (yeah, that person who pays to live in your complex that you're supposed to keep happy and safe) did not know what the substance was, weather it was hazardous or not! If it wasn't hazardous and you knew that, then you should have called the tenant who had the complaint or issue, and informed them "It's just cooking oil but we will sure try our hardest to get out as soon as we possibly can! Sorry for the inconvenience it's causing you in the meantime" <--see that? yes that's called "Customer Service", try it sometime!
