My roommate and I moved into the D-style building, it's an upper unit. The area is nice, except our neighbors have about 9389557 kids living in their apartment and they bother us when we sit out on the deck. Maintenance is very good and they act quickly, however the problem may not be solved. We have silver bugs, something named like that, and they look like beatles but THEY ARE FAST. We have smoosch marks all over our walls throughout the entire apartment because these bugs won't go away. They have already sprayed for them once, and it was such an inconvenience that we haven't called back. There are DOGS everywhere even though they say no pets. Here's why: the lower units in many buildings are owned and leased out by a seperate company that caters to the execs from Audi and Daimler Chrysler. This means frequent changes of neighbors. There are Germans moving in and out of the 2 lowers in our unit and the unit next to us. They are always very nice, but they come with brand new babies and dogs. The dogs are barking during the day and can be pests, the baby crying is always an added bonus. Also, to the person who wrote the family friendly email before this message, these are LUXURY apartments for young professionals. We 'young professionals' would love to enjoy the pool and rec center without your unsupervised children crawling all over the community space.
Lastly, the landscaping is set up in a very dangerous way. The large bushes along with main drive are grown up too high and block the view of cars trying to turn onto the drive. I have nearly been in over 10 BAD accidents--and i'm a slow driver! The curve along the main entry way that slopes off to the right hinders your vision and sometimes oncoming traffic is over too far and you nearly crash. They need to rethink it--and since the boulevard was just sold to a different management company, maybe they will do something about it.
