I use to live at Lake Village and had the same problem everyone else did. You could not keep the apartment warm in the winter, on the first floor you can hear everything from upstairs. The big kick comes when you move out. I left Lake Village about a year and a half ago and was charged $500 dollars. The kick is that I just found out through my credit report, I was never informed that I owed $500. Now my credit rating sucks. When I called the number given on my credit report the collection agent said I owed money for damaged carpet. If I recall the carpet was well worn when I moved in. Also when I moved out I was told by a maintenance staff that they are replacing all of the carpet in the apartments when tenants move. Scam by Lake Village to rip you off even more... I think so.

If you already live in Lake Village be sure you ask what you owe when you move out. If you do not ask, you may never know you owe money because Lake Village will never contact you.

My Credit score dropped from 720 to 593, Thanks Lake Village!!!!

Since my email is linked to this rating thing I took a look at what was said here... I moved out about 3 months ago, and I got a whole statement that said what was charged, etc. I luckily didnt get charged anything, but I think you have to give them a forwarding address to get the paper work, and they asked me for mine...just an idea. The lake village staff will still put this on your credit even if you properly dispute the charges. Not only that they won't tell you it's on your credit nor will they take you to court like they are supposed to because they are too cheap. so instead they illegally report it to your credit.
