Seemed OK at first, but now lots of problems.

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
We have lived at Lake Vilage now for about 1.5 years, and it was actually OK at first. Now, the newer tenants are less clean and polite. I have major problems with noise from music in the night and the walls are paper thin. My last apartments did not have this problem.
We complained a few times about the noise but they really can't afford to make the tenants calm down or else they will leave too. There are a lot of vacant apartments here and we had one break in, so I think they are desperate. Now also they seem to have less staff. My guess is they are in deep water trying to rent out vacancies because so many of their old tenants have left to go rent the houses for the same price or less because there are lots of houses on the market for rent now. There are many houses on the market right now-really nice houses- for the same price as these crampy, old little apartments. And according to one tenant I keep in touch with who used to live here, Lake Village owners have resorted to keeping everybody's deposit and claiming outrageous charges on the person's credit in an effort to keep from losing money. We are looking forward to our lease ending so that we can look local condos for rent that are really nice.
I also notived that the only good reviews all seemed to happen within a few days of each other. It's as if the owners wrote it themselves because I don't know many tenants who would say nice things about LV, but I could be wrong.
