I can't speak for those who posted negative comments, but my 3 year stay at Lk Village was better than I expected. In fact, the only reason my wife and I moved is because we found an excellent deal on a house. Prior to living here, we lived in several different apartments while in college in East Lansing, and in Farmington Hills immediately after graduating. None of those places compared with Lk Village, especially considering the price we paid.

Parking can be annoying sometimes, but, having lived in many other complexes, a little longer walk to my car was the least of my concerns.

We found the staff to be pleasant. When our hot water heater and furnace went out, they had a guy fix them the following morning. It's very pet-friendly. Just before we moved out they installed a dog park. As for the dogs making a mess, I didn't feel that it was a big problem. To the extent that it was, I attributed it to careless owners rather than a problem with the staff.
