There actually are nasty sex offenders living here! Here's the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry Website: http://www.mipsor.state.mi.us/PSORDisclaimer.aspx Gross!!! On their rental application, there's a space where you check "yes" or "no" about certain questions regarding your criminal history. If you select "no" in all areas, they don't even process your criminal history!

That is NOT true! It does not matter if you check "no" in all areas, a crimianl background is still processed for EVERYONE! Office employees check the Michigan Sex Offender site at least once a week and if a sex offender is found to be living there, eviction proceedings are started. The eviction process does take a while. There are laws that have to be followed. It's not like the staff can just set the person's stuff on the sidewalk and kick them out the same day. Get a clue! Don't start a topic on something if you don't know all the facts!
