There's a lot of choices in apartments, but none like this!

In June of 2007, I decided to look for an apartment by myself. It was my first apartment after having lived with my parents prior. I went to a lot of different communities and looked at a lot of apartments and while there were a lot of nice apartments, there definitely weren't a lot of communities with the knowledgeable, caring staff, that Glenn Valley has. Throughout the entire leasing process, it was relatively stress free which I really appreciate because moving can be a really stressful time, especially when it's your first time out on your own. But, the real reason I moved to Glenn Valley wasn't necessarily because of the units themselves, although nice, it was more because of how welcome I felt there. Holly in the office was especially personable and easy to talk to about what you were looking for in an apartment. I didn't feel like just another number, or a commission. They actually took the time to get to know you by your first name and it is really nice to feel like they genuinely care about you, and how happy you are with your apartment.

Other than the staff, the buildings are nice. The apartments are well laid out, though the interior is kind of bland. EVERYTHING is neutral white. but a little paint on the walls can fix that. Just make sure you primer before you move out to avoid extra fees! I have never heard any of my neighbors either beside me, or above me. It's surprising how well these buildings are insulated, but considering they're less than 15 years old, I guess they have come a long way with noise suppression on new apartments. Some of my friends and family members aren't so fortunate as you can hear their neighbors through the wall. (Voices/TV's, etc.)

My only real complaint would involve ants. In the spring/fall I always have a problem with ants in my apartment. But, considering that Glenn valley is located in a marshy area, I guess that is to be considered. The maintenance and office staff have always been quick to help resolve the ant issues though so even that isn't too much of a problem.
