I have had an enjoyable time within the walls of my apartment home. I have spent a nice year here relaxing on my balcony, sharing holidays with friends and family, and I love being so close to everything. The apartments are nicer than most in Battle Creek. I only wish we had a pool and fitness center located on the premises, but atleast we are offered the minges creek athletic club which might be even better for most. The only problems I had endured here at the Landings were complaints not being investigated, and yet still remaining in my file.I am a non smoker, country listening, 2 shift person who was supposedly throwing loud RAP parties, fighting with myself late into the evening (even though I was at work), and throwing cigar butts over my balcony (I don't smoke). I do believe something needs to be done differently when complaints are issued here at the Landings, but what ever the Leasing office can't do to fix the problem, the AERC customer service can help out more. Thanks!
In addition, when looking to rent from an Apartment, read how the Management responds to these complaints. That should give you a great idea how you will be treated if you feel you have a valid complaint.Would you want an understanding person to deal with or someone who can give you nothing but rudeness and slander in return'
Theres food for thought.
Have a great day and Happy home hunting!

It is true; she did live on a floor with a man who did beat on his neighbor???s doors. This particular person obviously had mental health issues and the Landings responded with the quickest possible legal action. People think you can just kick someone out and that is not true. The door in which this particularly person is referring to is being replaced tomorrow!!! This was a special order item and takes 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. The new tenant was fully aware that the door was being replaced and just moved in on February 13th 2006. This particularly author states that no one responded to her three customer service complaints, I personally responded by letter to the first complaint. My Service Regional Manager called her the second time, the resident did not return her call. This resident is personally attacking my leasing consultant who lives below her and claims she is the one being treated unfairly. This resident is a bad neighbor; I have witnessed this myself several times. Remember when you point the finger you have three pointing back at you. We love and take pride in all our residents but lets face it ??? It is never easy to receive a concern and regardless of who is making them we follow up with everything in a quick, sincere and honest manor.

I agree with anonymous.Complaints really do need to be handled better. I have received complaints about noise coming from my apartment home while I was out of town visiting my grandmother in the hospital.I called and explained that no one has a key to my place and no one was there, but now I have complaints in my file that were not me! I find this very unfair.

It sounds like mwsmith does not really exist and the same person wrote this as the first one. Are you trying to make it look like there is more than one person complaining. I was born but not yesterday. I was in the apartment business for 52 years before I retired and I learned a few things in my time. Good try though.

Hmm,if you indeed learned a few things, maybe you should learn a little more? I see a pattern here, another Landings employee trying to sugarcoat their actions VIA fake names? By your actions it does appear you were indeed born yesterday. Glad I moved out! Also, why would the person recommend the Landings then take the time to turn around and reply as if they do not recommened the Landings? Come on, you are not the detective you claim to be. Sorry! Not that impressed...
