Here is a summary of my "great" experience with Harbour Club:

We have lived at Harbour Club for two years.

-Our highest DTE bill was around $150 (everything is electric, including heat) and we kept the apartment COLD!

-Our downstairs neighbors were extremely ghetto (before they were evicted at midnight one night.) Every night, someone was being thrown against a wall screaming.

-About 1 year into the lease, my car was broken into in broad daylight and all of my CDs were stolen. Three others were broken into that same day in my lot with stereo systems stolen.

-About 1.5 years into the lease, I was out of town and got very, very ill. I couldn't drive back for about a week! My roomate went to the main office to see if we could get an extension on the rent as I didn't have my checkbook to mail anything in. They literally LAUGHED IN HIS FACE. If you don't pay your rent by the 2nd, you have to pay a $25 late fee plus $2 extra a day. So guess what, I had doctors' bills to deal with, had lost my voice, and stupid late fees!

Here's the best part:

-Currently, Harbour Club is claiming that we paid our rent late in April (it is now July) and they have been charging us $2 a day since then for a total of $149. Our postal carrier really sucks and we get our mail late all of the time, if at all, so we got a letter from Harbour Club about this "late fee" a week after they sent it. When we called about it, they said we now owe $160 more for lawyer fees because they are taking us to court. We were tolf if we had a problem with the mail, then we need to "take it up with the post office." So, we paid their stupid late fees. Then, yesterday, I received a court notice in the mail saying they are evicting us for not paying our $149 late fee!!!

DESPITE THE FACT THAT WE HAVE LIVED AT HARBOUR CLUB FOR TWO YEARS AND PAID THEM OVER $14,000 IN RENT, THEY WANT TO EVICT US OVER $149, WHICH WE PAID!!!

Do you really wanted to be treated like a sub-human' Our building has seen just about every apartment go through at least 2 new residents in the past 2 years. No one wants to stay!

Not to mention, there is dog crap all over our front lawn and near the "playground." Oh, and they can't seem to fix our kitchen light properly. It hasn't worked for months! And our carpet was all stained when we moved in! And there are huge cracks in the wall because the foundation is sinking!!!

I'm moving back to Ann Arbor next month!
