I was surprised to see no one has said anything-considering the problems here within the last few months--It was ok when we first moved in--and for those of us with a large dogs there aren't alot of rental options to choose from. Maintenance was respectful office management wasn't that bad. We moved into the "quiet part" of the complex (on the golf course side)--in recent months storage cages and laundry rooms have been broken into, cars have been broken into and things have been stolen, attemps to steal vehicles have been made. Many of the residents I know no longer park in their assigned carports for fear of the crime. Police are trying but seem understandably annoyed at the manpower they are having to afford to this now ongoing everyday problem. One neighbor got his storage locker and car broken into and then his motorcycle stolen! We have heard rumors as to whom these thieves could be--several neighbors have observed certain security personnel being quite friendly with the alleged suspects while other security try hard to help protect residents. We have also heard that recently Ford Lake Landing Apartments recently renamed the crack infested rat hole and simultaneously kicked many people out--and where do you think most of them came'! Right down the road here--so no, it's not your bad judgmental side coming out here--you are right! People are and have been moving in beside you--and some of them look like bums, others like crack addicts--you'd think Harbour Club Mgmt. MIGHT have seen this crime wave coming! Am I right! Either they were too stupid to think this through or they didn't care. Either way this place is now scary. In fact someone just knocked on my door last night--some random stranger who doesn't live in my building--my tv was on and loud and he just kept knocking and leaning forward to listen to the door. We are leary to go outside at night. If you can leave now---many are using the crime spree facts to get out of leases-with no penalties and their deposits back in full! Yes this is how bad it has gotten! Go to the police department and ask for a ledger of the crime activity in the complex for the last 3-6 months.
