Not so happy anymore...

My family and I have lived here for almost 2 years (we are 5 months into our second lease). We live on the Lakeside in a ground level. Our deep freezer, a crock pot and a plastic storage bin were recently stolen from out outside storage area...yes, I said a DEEP FREEZER (8.8. cubic feet w/food in it). I must admit we left the door unlocked (NOT ANY MORE) 2 weeks ago our neighbors car was stolen and I just learned tonight that some of our other neighbors apartment was broken into in the middle of the day while they were home...sleeping. We are very disappointed with the security here obviously. We are considering breaking our lease, I know that break-ins can happen anywhere but it just too close to home this time!

Was it stolen from the chain link storage area? You left that unlocked! Thats risky, but I still can't believe they made off with a deep freezer. Thats crazy! Sorry to hear about that!

Please tell me that you are not that ignorant to leave your storage unlocked!!!!! SMART! Everywhere I have lived it doesn't matter how safe the place is you still don't leave your stuff accessible to whoever roams by..... Hate to say it, but I hope you learned your lesson.
