I was soo relieved when I finally able to move out of here. April of 2007, there was a fire in our building, fortunately it was contained to 1 single apartment, but smoke smell was in out apartment for a couple weeks. It was a constant reminder, and we always were afraid it would happen again. Well, in January 2008, a different buildig was not so lucky. A whole building, 30 apartments were destroyed. That was my deciding factor to move ASAP!! Also, noise is a constant issue here. People CONSTANTLY slamming doors, talking loudly in hallways, stereos played too loudly at night. The day before I moved out, 8 cars had cat. converters stolen from their vehicles! This place I lived in fear and hope no one else has to. If you still live here, do get out!! If you are thinking of moving here, look elsewhere!!

Lived here?

I am one of the people that got their catalytic converters stolen. They hit more than just our apartments. The police officer that took the report said they hit multiple complexes that night. Apparently, there is a small amount of platinum that can be taken from from catalytic converters. I do agree that security here is not as good as it use to be. If you live along the front stretch of apartments (on the lake) you are much more likely to have frequent patrols. I think (guessing here) that we only have one security car at night. For a complex this big there really should be more security. On top of having the catalytic converter stolen storage bins have been broken into alot. Because of this we now keep renters insurance. Not to sound pompous here, but if the management wants to see some upset people and a mass exodus keep the status quo for security. ___________________________________________________________ Here are some things I think that can be improved upon: ---1----More security (including walk troughs of the buildings storage areas). Sorry, but a car driving around just doesn't cut it. ---2---Make all storage bin have to have a lock on them. If they are not occupied the management should put a lock on that storage unit so that a criminal can not leapfrog into the other ones as easily. ---3---Fix the carports, they look awful! ---4---The other thing that looks awful is the sign up by the Diamondback that points to the leasing office. It does not reflect what a nice community this is. ---5---The hallway in my my building stinks. I think this is mostly because the carpet is in desperate need of being replaced and there are some heavy indoor smokers that live in the building. ---6---I have also noticed that there are more troublesome looking people moving in. There is not much you can do about that I guess. It's summer time, maybe they are just out and about more. Who knows? But it does make me uneasy. ---7---A considerable number of the decks need to be painted. ---8---A little landscaping around the buildings would be nice. The area around the clubhouse gets alot of attention, but the beds where bushes are around the buildings are in need of some attention. Also, when was the last time they looked into planting some grass seed and repairing some of the areas where the maintenance golf carts stray off the path and kill all the grass, leading to a muddy spot when it rains. I'm being picky with some of the stuff I know. Some of the things are a big deal, some are just small annoyances. I'm a type A personality, so I notice alot. haha _______________________________________________________________________________________ Okay, now it might sound like I am unhappy here. Actually I am happy overall, but I see room for improvements. The apartments are very nice and every time I have had a maintenance concern it has been addressed quickly and professionally. The perks that are offered are incredible (Golf, Tanning, Gym, Massages, RV Storage and Boat Storage, etc) Anytime I have had a complaint the office staff has addressed it professionally and quickly (even once when I wasn't so courteous). Tyler in the office has been wonderful to work with. He has a great attitude that makes him easy to work with. The noise has never really been a issue with me. I have lived in alot of apartments, and in every one of them you can hear your neighbor when they are loud, and I don't mind the talking in the hallways. (It never lasts long anyways) I respect the fact that my neighbors have a life and are social. Good for them! I don't want to live around a bunch of social recluses. Blah! Loud music? I've never heard a raging party going on before, but I have heard someone bass or someone listening to their TV or music. Big deal, again it's a apartment not a 5 star hotel. Most people are pretty respectful, especially late at night. Bottom Line... Pros: Great Price, Great Location, Great perks, Good office staff, Excellent Maintenance. Cons: Security needs improvement (more of it), and so does overall building and grounds maintenance. Truely yours, Honest and overall pleased (I would recommend living here to others.) ---Sorry about the choppy looking post, it didn't want to let me leave spaces so I improvised

I have noticed a improvement in the security lately. I would really like to see security get out of the cars and do a walk through of the building and storage area from time to time. I also wish they would mulch around the buildings or do something. There are kinda flowerbed, kinda not flowerbed that would really make the places look incredible. Yes, that sign up my diamondback looks awful and so do the car ports. I agree with you that Tyler is great and that Maintenance is good when you have to call them for something in your apartment. In particular Gary is really good. The "perks" as you call them are good too. I guess alot of it depends on which building your in and who your neighbors are. That is a crapshoot anywhere you go. I am also happy here. Office people, take note, looks like you are getting some very good feedback. Thanks!
