I was looking for an apartment for myself and my son to live in so I called them up and went in to look at an apartment. Everything was nice in thae apartment I was shown. I got my apartent number when I was getting ready to move in and of course anted to go do basic cleaning before moving my things in. I could barely open the door because it was so messed up and had to SLAM it shut to close it. Then, when I came in and started opening up cabinets in the kitchen, there were glasses and dishes and utter filth in them! I had no other place to go and was not offered help in cleaning them up so I cleaned them myself! Then I got a leak around the sliding glass door in my livingroom and in my closet and was told by management they would send someone to wet vac it and after that I should put a towel down!!!! I was also told at that time that my problems couldn't be fixed until spring because they were low on funds and couldn't afford it until then. My son started getting bitten by bus (which I can't figure out what kind) and I asked them to send an exterminator and they never sent one. Maintenance told me there had been an outbreak of bed bugs and fleas in my building but again because of the low funds they could only afford the exterminator on a case by case basis instead of bombing the whole building to cure the problem. Besides those things, I have had bees and a snake in my apartment and was told its just because its by the lake and woods! DO NOT MOVE THERE!!!!!

I lived there and I wouldnt tell someone i hated about that place everything is falling apart the maintinence steals when they go in your apartments... In fact they dont even know how to fix anything...the Manager want-a-be and her husband do not know anything about running a dog kennel much less a place where people are looking for a nice clean and safe place for their family and when someting does happen they want to pass the buck to the next idiot and so on and so on,, Bay Shore is just as bad the got to be just as stupid they keep hiring these winners

this place was a nightmare for me and my children...it was extremely unsafe, by the end of my stay there they found a dead body on the premises...a girl was raped in her home (which it was the leasing office building)so that enough for me to break my lease and leave!!! DO NOT MOVE THERE!!! and if you are leaving there good luck and be safe!!!
