I've lived in Parkwood for a year now, and they are trying! They've replaced the office staff, which was a major plus. Because the old ones were just soo rude. They are trying to spruce up the appearence somewhat, though its mostly in the front of the complex, and I'm in the back. Although you can't hold the complex responsible for the actions of the tenants. What has been said is true. Alot of these people let their children play in the streets.(ages 1&up)Just outside by themselves. They leave toys all over (streets behind cars or blocking parking spots, sidewalk, in front of your door so you trip)! There's trash scattered around, due to children and some adults littering. And some of these maintainence people look like bums off the street. They fix things yeah, but if you want it done the right way I would suggest you be present, because you will have to call them back if your not. (They are soo not professional!) And no one has mentioned the spider and centipede problem that you will have. They're everywhere! The walls are thin, so you'll hear your neighbor. Even if they are outside they're just loud, even at night. The police have been called on occassion, and the manager notified. Just make complaints, they work. Go as far as calling corporate if it comes to that. And you can do it all anonamously! And,They are just now replacing some of the street lights out here, so its not so dark and scarey. (Due to complaints!) And, a stupid thing is that I just found out that there's a laundry room at the office. But, its only open M-F 8am to 5pm, and closed on sat and sun. So, if you work good luck with washing! The pet thing is supposed to be NO PETS ALLOWED, but people still have them!
