Working fine for me

I moved here from The Harbours in Clinton Township, which are practically identical to these, and managed by the same company. I've had pretty much the same experience between the two, except they found out I have a cat here so now I'm paying $50 a month. Pet fees. This is one way they really get some money from you. My cat does absolutely no damage to the apartment or the grounds, they are making free $ off of me. At least they cut me a break from their normal rate of $75.
The people at the counter are friendly to me, including the manager, Becky, who cut me the break on the pet fee.
There's the usual issues living in close proximity to people--a blood hound next door that howls every now and then and the occasional bump from upstairs. My attitude is big deal--get a house if you don't like noisy neighbors.
I like the access to the freeways and the shopping on Belleville Rd. A downer is the rent itself. I paid $595/mo for the third floor with cathedral ceilings in The Harbours, and now I'm paying $710 (incl the $50 cat fee) for the ground level. I guess it's a function of location, but I don't get it...we're out in the middle of nowhere. I'd think it would be CHEAPER than The Harbours.
