I like the place. I think it's a good deal...I love the washer/dryer. THINGS I DO NOT LIKE: 1-the maintenance people! They show up unannounced, knock once, about two seconds later they knock again, then they enter with a key. Twice now, they've entered and I've been in a towel, just out of the shower. 2-the cable. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Comcast, but I would have like to have had a choice in the matter. At Southport, there is no other option than to get their cable. It is very limited, with no cable internet option at all. To get internet, you need to get a phone line and go from there. 3-either the people above me are wearing cement shoes, or they are giants. The other night, i swear to god they were bowling...and there's carpet on the floor!! I don't think it's my upstairs neighbors fault or anything, i just think Southport needs to rethink their insulation needs. I have no idea what/if any insulation they used for these apartments, but it's not good. I don't hear a peep from my next door neighbor though. 4-Apt. did not include blinds. GOOD THINGS: 1-the shower rocks. 2-I thought it was a pretty good deal. I paid $595 a month for a one bedroom/1 bathroom first floor apt. with washer/dryer. $27 for cable. $25-$35 a month for electric....that was it! 3-private entrance. although it can get buggy sometimes, it's outside, what did I expect' I thought it was an overall good deal, if they could just do something about the mtm guys...like schedule appointments or something!
