DO NOT MOVE TO SOUTHPORT APTS!!
I lived below a very noisy tenant. I called the 24hr noise complaint line at least six times in 3 months. The tenants were never evicted, even though it states in the lease a tenant will be asked to leave if they continue with excessive noise. I also went to the mgt. office and nothing was done. They told me they would call them and ask them to stop the noise. The tenants never did. When I spoke with mgt again, they told me they would look into and call me back that afternoon. I waited three days and had to call them!! They still had not gotten around to my complaint. I asked to move to another apt. and they told me I could move if I paid a $200.00 transfer fee. Why should I have to pay if someone else is not upholding the rules of their lease' I would never recommend Southport to anyone.

I have an extrememly noisy neighbor. 5:45 am and she starts jamming the radio so loud that we hear it throughout the whole apartment. The bass rattles the floor and I can't sleep. We called the office and they told us to call maintenance since it was after hours. Needless to say, no one cares and we are new so I'm not sure what to do next. That's the only complaint I have about the place. My apartment is gorgeous!
