Not worth the free utilities!

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
I lived in this complex alone in 2004 and absolutely loved it. My husband and I have lived in Southport for almost 2 years. We have had the most awful experience. When we showed up to move in, we refused to sign the lease because the tile was all cracked, there was mold in the bathroom, and the place hadn't been cleaned. The stove was broken. They took care of some of our requests, but I had to clean the place from top to bottom in order to start moving in. They charged us for "new carpet" although it was only new in part of the apartment Once our lease expired, they hiked up our rent $200 a month.
These apartments are in bad shape.
The windows are drafty, the parking is awful, the walls are super thin, there is no 24 hour guard or security, and although they say the maximum persons occupying an apartment should be 4, there are 6-8 people living below me. They offer awesome specials, unfortunately, that draws the wrong kind of people in.
The management is rude and will not listen to noise complaints. Although there are private entrances, you will smell everything that your neighbors cook, eat, or smoke.
