I currently live here and has some jerk try to steal my car. Thank god I had a Club on it!(Which I recommend for any apartment dweller) Sadly, I had parked further to try and avoid anyone hitting my car, which already had happened earlier this year, and didn't realize I wasn't near a street lamp. Again soooo happy for the Club! When I made the police report though, the cop said that theives had hit three other apartment complexes so a downside to the quick access to the freeway. But Van Buren police are very friendly and came to the complex to check out my car and take the report so that's a plus but I defintely will not renew my lease!!

I don't think it's stupid at all. I've lived here at Southport for 7 years and my car has been broken into twice and my apartment once. 3 times too many if you ask me. Ridiculous. Southport will put in things like carports to make money. But security cameras or guards? Pfffft! Those only cost money, they don't make money, so that's completely out of the question!

I've lived here 3 years and have had nothing happen to my car or apartment. Sometimes I think these are written by other complexes so they can get business. HHHMMMMM...i'm in building 9 and have talked to many people and they haven't had things like this happen
