Car break-ins

I saw another reviewer who commented on their car being broken into, and a responder said keeping one's car empty is asking for it to be broken into...usually people won't take the chance of breaking into a car if they can't see anything.
Well, my car is trashed out and it was broken into and my wheels were stolen. Probably my fault for having stuff out, but I used to think trashy Belleville wasn't trashy. I learned my lesson.
Cops said this happens all the time at Southport...there is a reason they patrol. The complexes to the east have even more problems, including a recent armed robbery...look at the sex offender map.
The office staff do NOT evict people for making noise, in fact, they do nothing.
It seems like the apartments to the east have less problems than those to the west.
I would not choose to live here again.
I moved out when my fiancee was approached by a man saying his car was broken down on I-94 and he needed help. Well buddy, there are gas stations closer to 94 than the back of my apartment complex!!! Very shady.

The office never helped with my VERY noisy neighbor in 15314. We lived there for almost two years and broke the lease early because of the problems. We had a rash of car break ins and domestic violence. We also had a guy in the parking lot with a gun. I doubt the police were being 100% truthful. The management was terrible. They never called back but were very prompt with the notice of the cable rising. I'd never rent here again. And as for the armed robbery, there was a murder there about 5 years ago. You should be able to confirm that.
